How Do I Know That My Skin Wants Hydration?

It is often thought that only dry skin needs hydration, but this is a mistake since oily or combination skin can also go through bouts of dehydration.

  • Drink little water.

  • Extreme environmental factors (cold, wind, sun, pollution…).
  • Emotional problems such as stress.
  • Side effects of some medications.
  • Use of cosmetics that do not respect the skin.

As you can see, many reasons can cause dehydration in the skin. Therefore, you must provide all the necessary care to keep it hydrated and protected.

How to Moisturize the Skin of the Face

To keep the skin of the face hydrated and not damaged, you must follow a daily routine that facilitates its hydration:

Start Moisturizing it from the Inside

Kind sure you drink enough water and eat a healthy and varied diet. Fruits and vegetables are foods rich in water and vitamins that help keep your skin hydrated.

Take Care of Facial Hygiene

It is essential to clean the face properly so as not to damage the protective barrier that the skin has. Once clean, your skin will be prepared to assimilate the subsequent treatment properly.

Use Products that Provide Hydration to the Skin

To keep facial skin well hydrated, you must use moisturizing creams or lotions daily.

The ideal time to apply them is at night (when you go to bed) and in the morning (when you get up), always after having previously clean your face to facilitate their absorption and effectiveness.

On the other hand, dry skin lacks lipids (fats), so a more oily cream would be ideal for covering this need.
